The first event for the southeast region was a strong one.
The number of skaters wasn't the largest, but the talent
was amazing. Things kicked off with the 12 and under division
and the battle was on. Kris Rabon just edged out Ben Tessari
for first, with Logan Issacson taking third. In the open
division Chase George showed his skills by taking first.
Clay martin took home second and  John
Zachary grabbed third. In the expert division it was a battle
from top to bottom, but when the music started and he dropped
in for his first
run, everyone knew that Dre was taking over. Andre Powell
with his smooth style and flowing lines took home first.
Chris Peters went big and showed some long grinds on the
sub box to nab second, while Chris Johns who had some creative
tricks and good style took third. Rounding out the qualifiers
for regionals included Anthony Timmons, Kevin Rasers, Ryan
Purcell, Scott Rasers, Mike Turner, Lide Bryant, and Matt
Bryant. Amanda Duzak showed her skills as one of the up
and coming girl skaters. On vert Chris Peters walked away
from the rest of the field with first. Anthony Timmons took
second and Lide Bryant third. Eastwood provided a great
park for the start of the southeast's season.
