The south came to represent
at the Wall in Cottandale, AL. Read on to see
how things went down.

March 18 Cottondale, Alabama
The second stop for the southeast region was at the Wall Skatepark in Cottondale, Alabama. The south was in the house and came to represent Alabama to the fullest. The street course was on fire from the start. The little guys started things off in 12 and under division with Zach Oswalt showing some spins and transfers all over the course to take first. Cody Lackey, who took first on the mini, put together a good line for second place in street. Michael Cummings, who took second on mini, also grabbed third place in street. In the open division, there was Andy Allen, who took first with big airs and smooth grinds. The battle for second featured Scott Urtel edging out Jason McDonald who took third. In the expert division, Trent Stone was the first skater and set the bar for the others to try and match. Rob Thompson came up just a quarter of a point short, taking second. Tim Taylor, who took first in vert, ended up in third on the street. Rounding out the qualifiers on street were: Jon Allinson, Michael Littlejohn, Brandon Hampton, Chris Capenta, Nico Minchella, Ryan Stephens, Bon Allinson, and Chris Lawson. In the Women's competition, Savanah Yarborough showed that she is definitely one of the up and coming women's skaters by taking first. Genny Hudson put together a nice line to get second and Krystal Young brought home third. In Men's Vert it ended up like this: Tim Taylor, Rob Thompson and Aaron Hampton in first, second and third respectively. The others that qualified for regionals were Brandon Frost and Joshua Roque.
