
The ESPN X Games
The aggressive inline skating contests at the X Games feature the world's best professional skaters competing in street and vert contests. Athletes qualify to compete at the X Games according to their rankings on the ASA Professional Circuit. Questions about the aggressive inline competition should be directed to the ASA.
The 1996 X Games were held in Newport, Rhode Island during the last week of June. In 1997, the X Games moved to San Diego, California and returned to San Diego in 1998. The 1999 X Games were held the last week of June, 1999 in San Francisco, CA. This year's X Games return to San Francisco August 17-22.

Qualified athletes for 2000 X Games
Men's Criteria:
- Top 4 1999 X Games
- Top 3 previously unqualified from 1999 ASA World Championships
- Top 2 previously unqualified from 1999 ASA world Rankings
- Winner 1999 ASA European Amateur Championships
- Top 2 1999 Asian X Trials
- Top 1 previously unqualified from each of the following ASA Pro Tour events:
(Rome, St. Petersburg, Ontario, Hermosa Beach, Nashville, Milwaukee)
- Top 1 previously unqualified rookie based on the 2000 ASA rankings after Milwaukee
- One wildcard
- Remaining spots filled by previously unqualified skaters based on ASA rankings after Milwaukee
