Rome,
Italy - May 7, 2000
As the Pro Tour was overseas, it made a stop in beautiful
Rome, Italy. With probably the most beautiful view you can
get from a street course, the skaters seemed inspired. Here's
how things went down. One street, Clifford Viljoen pulled
off his first win on the Pro Tour followed Sven Boekhorst
in second. Pat Lennen made an appearance in Rome and skated
to 3rd overall. Louie Zamora also skated in Rome but was
only able to capture 4th. Brain Shima got 5th and Jonathan
Bergeron followed behind in the 6th spot. Fabrice Lallemand
was able to skate to a solid 7th place finish and Thierry
Lallemand captured 8th. Sam Fogarty ended up in 9th and
Alexis Ecija from Barcelona, Spain got 10th.
In Vert Shane
Yost captured his first win ever, followed by Taig Khris
and Nel Martin. In fourth was Tobias Bucher out of Stutgardy,
Germany and in 5th was Beni Huber. Sven Boekhorst ended
up in the 6th spot and Javier Bujanda skated to 7th. Matteo
Attanasio also out of Germany caputured 8th while Sam Fogarty
and Tinu Kunz followed in 9th and 10th.
The women
also skated well in Rome. Martina Svobodova took home another
gold on street while Fabiola da Silva had to settle for
the silver. Jenny Logue and Anneke Winter filled out the
rest of the field in 3rd and 4th. Merce Borrull was the
vert winner.
